The Prom is a musical with music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Bob Martin and Beguelin, based on an original concept by Jack Viertel.  Produced in special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

Four down-on-their-luck Broadway stars lamenting their days of fame, shake up a small Indiana town as they rally behind a teen, a lesbian student, banned from bringing her girlfriend to the high school prom.  On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together.

The Prom deals with bullying, specifically against LGBTQ+ youth. There is brief mention of drinking alcohol, xanax, and sex. Mild language is used. This musical is appropriate for ages 13 and up
